The Enthronement of Jesus as King

Jesus is coming back to this earth as “King of Kings”. His Father promised Him that in Psalm 2. “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance and the ends of the earth for Your  possession.” (Psalm 2:6-8). Also, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be on His shoulder…Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord will perform this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7). Again, “Behold the days are coming, says the Lord, that I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; a king shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.” (Jeremiah 23:5). And “I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of man coming with the clouds of heaven…then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away.” (Daniel 7:13-14).  Also, in Revelation “These will make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords

and King of kings.” (Revelation 17:14). “And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:16)

Yes, after destroying evil in the earth and the armies of the antichrist gathered together against Him, Jesus will assemble those who come to Him during His glorious parousia in Jerusalem and declare His kingdom. We will then crown Him almighty King in the place He has chosen to reign from, Jerusalem, Israel, earth. Jerusalem will then be recognized as the capital of the world. “At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne Of The Lord, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem.” (Jeremiah 3:17). “Thus says the Lord: I will return to Zion and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain.” (Zechariah 8:3).  “And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.” (Zechariah 14:16)

What a wonderful world that will be when the government is on His shoulders! If you’ve ever wondered what is the best system of governance for nations, the answer is clear; a kingdom. Of course, that’s only true if you have a perfect king. And, that’s what’s coming.  When Jesus reigns, it will be with perfect justice, righteousness, mercy, love, and compassion. He demonstrated this while He was here during His earthly ministry. While He will rule with a “rod of Iron” keeping all evil under subjection, He will keep mankind from all wars, disease, natural disasters, hunger, poverty, and even death for all the resurrected saints. Satan will be locked up in the “abyss” so the great tempter of mankind will no longer be the “god of this world”. The “curse” that mankind has been under since Adam’s fall in Eden will have been lifted. This curse that even affected all of creation will be noticeably absent as the “lion will lie down with the lamb” and “the nursing child shall play by the cobra’s den”. (Isaiah 11:6’8). Long lifetimes will be restored to humanity.

We’ve recently witnessed the enthronement of an earthly king as England’s Prince Charles was installed as king. It was indeed a spectacular ceremony watched world-wide. Yet, all this pomp and ritual will pale in comparison to what will soon take place in Jerusalem. The entire world and the entire angelic realm will be present and observing as Jesus is crowned almighty King. No one will miss or fail to be a part of this event. “God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)

I need to add here that we will rule and reign with Him as kings and priests subject to His authority. As resurrected saints we will facilitate His rule as intermediaries between Him and natural mankind left on the earth at His coming. We’ll all have government jobs!

Jesus’s Parousia (Glorious Coming)

Forty days after His resurrection Jesus defied gravity ascending upward into heaven into a cloud while His eleven disciples looked on. “And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, ‘men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.’” (Acts 1:10-11)

Jesus’s second coming will be the greatest event the universe has ever seen since creation. His physical explosion into the natural realm from the spiritual realm will be the epitome of supernatural. Jesus Himself described His coming (Gr. parousia). Amidst the cosmic darkness described in the previous post, the sky will erupt with blinding light. “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matthew 24:30,27).  This amazing spectacle of His coming will be seen all over the globe encircling the entire earth. Absolutely no one on earth will miss this event. “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him.” (Revelation 1:7).

His return will reverse the curse mankind brought on himself through sin. Jesus will crush and destroy evil and set up His kingdom returning the Edenic relationship man had with his creator before the fall. The righteous followers of Christ, those who have accepted the Son and His sacrifice, will be privileged to walk and talk with their creator just as did the first man, Adam. And, they will be the first to meet Him when He appears. The word parousia implies the splendor of a returning victorious king with His subjects turning out to meet Him. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And  the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

So, how should we prepare when considering this magnificent event? Jesus’s brother James said this: “You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.” (James 5:8).  The apostle John adds this: “And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.” (1 John 2:28). Establish your hearts. Abide in Him with patience. Good advice to build our confidence! His Parousia is sure and likely sooner than you think.

Cosmic Signs of Jesus’s Return

Jesus stated clearly that at the end of this age there would be unmistakable signs in the heavens at the end of the great tribulation just prior to His coming. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” (Matthew 24:29). “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars, and on the earth, distress of nations.” (Luke 21:25). These prophecies, given during His Olivet discourse echo the Old Testament prophets Joel and Isaiah. Speaking of the day of the Lord, Joel prophesied: “For the day of the Lord is coming,…A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.” (Joel 2:2). “The sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will diminish their brightness.” (Joel 3:15).  “Behold, the day of the Lord comes…For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light; the sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.” (Isaiah 13:9-10). The apostle John puts it this way in Revelation: “I looked when He opened the sixth seal and behold there was a great earthquake; and the sun became as black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.” (Revelation 6:12-14).  “And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.” (Revelation 16:18)

It is difficult to even imagine the intense turmoil occurring on the earth at this time.  Broad devastation will result. Thankfully, it will be short in duration. Try to envision a time of intense darkness interrupted by what appears to be vast meteor showers that strike the earth with ferocity and resulting smoke blotting out the sky day and night. Couple that with an earthquake that is the mother of all earthquakes, flattening everything from cities to mountains over the entire earth. All of this is part of God’s final judgment of evil on this earth. There is no escape for the wicked. The writer of Hebrews says this when recalling God’s similar past judgments: “See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now has promised, saying,’Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also heaven.’ “ Now this ‘Yet once more’ indicates removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.” (Hebrews 12:25-27).  The things that cannot be shaken are those things God deems fit for the kingdom of His Son. Everyone and everything else will be destroyed.

We need to make sure that everything we are building on this earth is designed to last into the kingdom.  How can we know for sure that it will last? Simple. Just be sure the foundation of everything you build is on solid Rock. And that Rock must be Christ.

Digital Currencies-Prophetic Implications

If you read my previous post where I speculate about AI (Artificial Intelligence) and how both Mystery Babylon And the antichrist might use it to control mankind, you might find the attached video about digital currencies that the world’s banking systems are about to adopt very interesting. Prophecy teacher Nelson Walters highlights parts of an interview with G. Edward Griffin the author of “The Creature from Jekyll Island”, which is about the sinister origins of our Federal Reserve banking system. Griffin is a secular investigator critical of central banking systems. His take on the direction we are quickly heading compares favorably with the book of Revelation.

AI, Mystery Babylon, and the Antichrist

AI (artificial intelligence) is a hot news topic these days. These machine learning programs are beginning to dominate the interface between human and all responsive organizations that deal with humanity. The days of phoning or chatting with a real human about your situation/status are just about over. These AI programs are quickly growing more and more powerful and, yes, intelligent, to the point where they will vastly exceed human capabilities. In many areas, they already do, as no human mind can absorb the vast array of information available on every possible subject available to or stored in these programs. But you might ask, can they match humans in applying “wisdom” in all situations? Of course, as they “learn” they are getting better. However, as they are inanimate programs created by humans, they contain the world views and biases of their programmers. Therefore, a select group of humans control their “thought patterns”. Because of their exponential growth and increase in their reasoning power, many experts in this high-tech field are worried that these programs may eventually discard the need for human involvement and begin evolving on their own toward systems capable of controlling mankind who they might perceive as being inferior.

Whether or not that’s even possible, AI is here to stay and quickly advancing. And it appears to be the perfect tool for Mystery Babylon to consolidate its dominance and control over mankind. The bible is quite clear that in these last days Mystery Babylon will have matured to the point where she will enjoy total control over the world’s politics, economy, and even social life and religion. See Revelation chapters 17,18, and 19 to read about her control of the “kings” and “merchants” of the earth. For an in-depth look at Mystery Babylon click here: A Biblical Tale.doc – Google Docs. The current move toward globalism, digital currencies, and world-wide social control exemplifies Mystery Babylon. She is already here and getting stronger. Amazingly, along comes a system to facilitate her control of the masses, AI. Without it, or something like it, control would be spotty, at best. But with AI she now has available the evolving technology to implement individual control of all the earth’s billions.

The bible informs us that Mystery Babylon will ultimately be destroyed at the hand of the antichrist and his allies. I speculate that the antichrist might accomplish this partly by sabotaging and usurping her control of AI. We see Mystery Babylon going from a position of riding (controlling) the Beast to total destruction at the hand of the Beast. In one day! The antichrist himself and his false prophet will then inherit an AI system capable of imposing and enforcing his 666 economic system which he will need to deploy to succeed in his world dictatorship.

Yes, I know I’m going out on a limb with these speculations about AI, but we cannot ignore what may be obvious indicators of the prophetic times we are living in. Jesus told-even commanded us to watch and make ourselves ready. AI is one of these developments we Christians need to keep an eye on.

Coming Wrath-God’s or Satan’s?

The soon-coming tribulation or Daniel’s 70th week is clearly a seven-year period closing out this age that features God’s wrath poured out on evil mankind. Here are two out of many verses that attest to this fact: “For the great day of His wrath has come, and who can stand?” (Revelation 6:17). “Then I heard a loud voice saying to the seven angels, ‘Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.’ “ (Revelation 16:1)

Many prophecy teachers posit that because of God’s wrath being poured out in this manner the church (those who belong to Christ) will not be present on the earth during this period. They conclude that Christians will have been previously “raptured” or removed from the earth to heaven prior to God’s wrath. They base this on scripture such as 1Thessalonians 5:9: “For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Of course, these scriptures are correct, God’s not going to destroy His own. But what these teachers typically fail to point out is the wrath of God is exclusively reserved for the unrighteous evil of this world and that God knows how to do this without harming His church. The “wrath” that Christians will be here to face comes not from God, but from Satan. “…Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” (Revelation 12:12). Saints, there is no scriptural basis to use God’s wrath as justification for a “pre-tribulation” rapture. It’s simply poor exegesis. The “when” of the resurrection of the saints (rapture) in relation to other eschatological events is quite clear. Here are some of the most pertinent verses:

  1. John 6:39-44, 11:24 Jesus will raise believers on the “last” day of this age. Last means last. The Greek word is eschatos which translated is farthest, final, or uttermost. The “When” here is clear.
  2. 1st Cor. 15:52 When ? At the Last trumpet. Again, last here is eschatos. I believe this to be the trumpet of the 120th jubilee year from the fall. (Lev. 25:9)
  3. 2nd Thess. 1:3-10 Saints are not given “rest” until (when) Jesus comes in judgment on the day of the Lord. See also Hebrews 4:1-8
  4. 2nd Thess. 2: 1-4 Our gathering together unto Him cannot occur until great apostacy happens and the antichrist is revealed declaring himself to be god on the temple mount. The “when” here is the day of the Lord when we are gathered to Him.
  5. 1st Cor. 15:23 The resurrection of Christians is when? At His coming (gr. parousia). Christs parousia is His glorious visible coming.
  6. Mat. 24:29-31 Jesus had just spoken of “great tribulation”- the final three-and one-half years of Daniels seventieth week. He then stated when His coming would be-when He would gather all His elect; “immediately after the tribulation of those days.” It doesn’t get any more precise than that!
  7. Mat. 24:13 After Jesus tells His apostles all the signs of His second coming, He tells them that those who endure to the “end” will be saved. Here, end means- uttermost, final. The when is also quite clear in this passage – after all these things take place.
  8. Rev. 20:4-6 The martyrs of the tribulation are raised in the first resurrection. When is the first resurrection? At the beginning on Christs millennial reign.

Yes, church, we will be here on this earth for Daniel’s 70th week. Don’t let anyone talk you out of this, no matter how well meaning they may seem. We need to be prepared to deal with Satan’s wrath that he is going to focus exclusively on us. After Satan is kicked out of heaven mid tribulation; “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”(Revelation 12:17). “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. and he was given authority over every tribe, tongue, and nation.” (Revelation 13:7).

The coming wrath of Satan is quite real. Your eternal life depends on your preparation.

The Church Needs to Go on the Offensive

A couple of years ago I posted a blog about how the Church needs to ramp up its offence in light of the worsening conditions facing our world. Well, conditions are much worse today! I’m sure I don’t have to enumerate them for you. Evil is rising all around us and boldly in our face. Here’s what I posted back then:

Unless you’ve been living in a cave, I’m sure you’re aware of the world going to ‘hell in a handbasket’. The political, social, and moral decay is accelerating in our day. Evil is getting more openly evil and prospering to the dismay of real Christians who are seeing more persecution and isolation than ever before. What’s a Christian to do? We seem to spend a lot of time grousing about this with our friends who are like-minded with us. But this is non-productive as far as combatting the evil trends expanding all around us. We’re simply preaching to the choir. While this may portend eschatological fulfillment leading to the antichrist, we do not have to sit idly by. In fact, we do not have to merely defend our stance as Christians but have a whole arsenal of offensive weapons at our disposal. It’s time we use them!

First, we must recognize our enemy; “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12) Second, we must dress appropriately. “….let us put on the armor of light.” (Romans:13:12), “….the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left” (2 Cor.6:7), “….having girded your waist with truth….the breastplate of righteousness….shod you feet with the gospel of peace…. and the shield of faith….and take the helmet of salvation.” (Ephesians 6:14-16) Properly clothed, we can then take up “the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.” (Ephesians 6:17) This “Word of God” is the most powerful thing in the universe; and we have it at our disposal ! The apostle Paul adds this about our warfare “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God….” (2Cor. 10:3-5) Yes, our weapons are mighty (all powerful) in busting up the strongholds the world has erected against us. Mighty in God ! We Christians hold all the cards. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the World ! (1John 4:4) We need not be intimidated by what the world is doing. While things may seem impossible to combat at times, think of David and his battle with Goliath. No problem. Just an uncircumcised Philistine. He simply rested in the fact that the “battle is the Lords”. Much of our warfare is to be fought on our knees. James, our Lords brother, said this; “The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (James 5:16)

Saints, we need to draw our swords and mount a united offensive against the strongholds of this world. Remember, “.…in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him…” (Romans 8:37)

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse-Summary

When Jesus opens the seven sealed scroll detailed in Revelation chapter 6, He authorizes and sends out four spirits from His throne figuratively depicted as riders on horses. The apostle John transcribes for us the mission of each of these riders as told to him by the four cherubim surrounding the throne of God. This release signifies the start of God’s last-days judgment of evil on the earth. My previous four posts detail each of their assignments that will cause unprecedented turmoil in the earth. If you haven’t read those, scroll down on my website to access them. Jim’s Eschatological Info – “What I say to you I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:37) (eschatontrails.com)

Many prophecy teachers describe the first 3 1/2 years of Daniel’s seventieth week (often called the tribulation) as a time of relative peace in the world. They posit that the time of both Satan and God’s wrath will not be experienced until the last 3 1/2 years (the great tribulation). I believe, however, that this short study of the four horsemen refutes that claim. While the last half of the week may certainly be more intense, this does not diminish the massive effect the judgments given to the four horsemen will have on the earth. As we have seen, from the wars of conquest by the rising antichrist (white horse) to wide-spread death from many causes (pale horse), our world will be anything but peaceful.

From our perspective, all of these things will begin suddenly. We will abruptly transition from a world feeling the “beginnings of birth pangs” to a world subject to the judgments carried out by the four horsemen. (Read the article entitled “Beginnings of Birth Pangs Happening Now”). Beginnings of birth Pangs are Happening Now – Google Docs

Fellow Christians, don’t think for a moment that you will not have to face significant trials of your faith. You will. Soon. If you haven’t already. That’s simply because you’re in this world. Jesus said: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation” (John 16:33). The apostle Paul, exhorting new disciples said this: “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” (Acts 14:22). We are in a battle that is only going to get worse. We must “fight the good fight of faith” (1Timothy 6:12). Friends, I’m not writing these words to scare you, but to prepare you. Jesus must be our example. Thankfully, He also said this: “But be of good cheer, I’ve overcome the world” (John 16:33). In Christ, we can all be overcomers of everything this evil world throws at us. These four horsemen will cause much havoc on this earth. It’s their mission. Be prepared.

The Fourth Horseman of Revelation-Rider on a Pale Horse

When John saw Jesus opening the fourth seal of the seven-sealed scroll the fourth cherubim showed him a vision of a fourth horse proceeding from the presence of God. “When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, ‘Come and see.’ So, I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.” (Revelation 6:7-8).

Most bible translations use the word “pale” to describe the color of this horse, but the Greek word used here is “chloros” which is used elsewhere as greenish such as new grass shoots. It can also mean light gray-yellowish brown as used in the Septuagint (ancient Greek version of the Old Testament) to describe wind-blown dust. So, pale might be a good choice. I would characterize it as sickly yellowish green that seems to fit well with the rider’s description. Not a very pretty horse or rider for that matter.

The rider on this pale horse is given the name “Death”. He is literally death personified. And this horseman has someone following him called, in the above NKJ version, “Hades”. Hades is the traditional Greek term for the abode of the dead. It is also translated “hell” or the “grave” elsewhere. Here, this follower of the pale horse is the personification of the grave. In a figurative sense it seems Death is the executioner, and Grave follows to scoop up the bodies. Death and Hades are used together as proper names elsewhere in Revelation. Jesus Himself told John: “I am He who lives, and I was dead, and behold. I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”(Revelation 1:18). Also: “The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” (Revelation 20:13-14). There is little question as to the final destiny of Death and Hades. Jesus has the keys to both of them; He is in complete control.

This spirit on the pale horse and his follower are given power (by God) over one fourth of the earth to kill by several methods. This potentially means death for over two billion people based on today’s world population. Staggering! They are to carry out their mission by use of the sword (wars and other murders), hunger (famine from many causes), death (pestilence caused diseases), and beasts of the earth (everything from snakes to rats and large carnivores). This is not the first time God has used death in judgment of His creation. The bible gives many instances of wide-spread death from the flood to judgments on His chosen for deserting His commandments. This last-days judgment carried out by His horsemen will prove larger in scale than ever before and yet comes before His final wrath is poured out wiping out the remaining evil on the earth. We need to remember that death is the inevitable consequence of sin and that we are all sinners. Our only escape is through Jesus Christ who conquered death for us.

No question, this release of Death and Hades is unprecedented in human history. It will happen when Jesus completely opens the seven-sealed scroll authorizing the beginning of Daniel’s seventieth week. I believe we are very close to this key event. Be alert and ready. Above all, cling to Jesus Who gave His all that we might not come under judgment but be accounted worthy to escape all these things coming on the earth.

In my next post, I’ll sum up the total impact the four horsemen will have on the earth.

The Third Horseman of Revelation- A Black Horse

When Jesus opens the third seal of the seven-sealed scroll, the third cherubim told the apostle John: “Come and see. So, I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” (Revelation 6:5-6).

The color black is often used to describe want as in famine or drought. (Jeremiah 14:1-2, Lamentations 5:10). This is born out in the vision given to John. The rider of this black horse is seen holding a pair of scales in his hands meant to apportion out goods by weight. This rider is given instruction coming from the “midst” of the cherubim, which implies that his orders were from the very throne of God. (Revelation 4:6). He is literally sent out by God to promote scarcity in the earth.

The currency used here is a “denarius”, a coin that during the time of John’s writing this was roughly a day’s wage. (Matthew 20:2). A “quart” of wheat was about the minimum quantity of food for one man to survive, not sufficient for a family. A denarius would buy 3 times as much barley, but that was a coarser, less nutritious form of grain barely enough for a man and his wife to subsist on let alone a family. Of course, this does not consider money needed for other necessities of life. Interestingly, God tells the rider not to harm oil and wine, luxuries that will then be beyond the reach of the average worker. Evidently, the rich will continue to afford themselves delicacies a little while longer while the average world citizen will find himself in a struggle for mere existence. To put this in perspective, if today’s average daily wage is 100 dollars, a loaf of bread will cost 100 dollars, 25 times what it costs currently here in the US! That’s 2500% inflation!

That scarcity and famine is coming should not be a surprise to Christians. Jesus stated this clearly as a characteristic of the last days: “…there will be famines…” (Matthew 24:7). Famines, at least partially caused by world-wide currency devaluations will provide the perfect opportunity for the antichrist to impose his economic system on the world. These currency crashes will probably play a central role in the demise of the reign of Mystery Babylon at the hand of the antichrist and his allies. It’s certainly easy to see how this could materialize in our near future when one looks at the huge indebtedness of our world’s monetary systems. Much of the entire world seems on the verge of run-away currency collapse.

This rider on the black horse is a spirit being sent by God Himself to facilitate famine on the earth by manipulating the minds of the worlds political and business leaders to do His bidding. Like the other 3 horsemen, he is a part of God’s judgment of the earth. The release of this third horseman is more confirmation of the difficult times coming during Daniel’s seventieth week. God’s judgment is certain and coming soon. Are you prepared?

My next post will deal with the fourth horseman, the rider on the pale horse.
