America Under Judgment

This post is directed at the Church -true believers in Jesus Christ – His elect.

As I write this the US election is not yet decided. The media has largely declared Biden the winner although Trump’s legal team is hard at work to change the outcome. Keep praying!

We know from chronology of scripture that the time for human government is drawing to a close. (more on that in another post). Likely within a decade or two, the world “government will be on His shoulders”(Isaiah 9:6). Jesus Himself will govern this world from the world’s new capitol; Jerusalem, Israel. We also know with certainty that a time of “great tribulation” is coming to this world and particularly to Israel – the “time of Jacob’s trouble”- prior to Jesus’ return. Israel will stand alone in her fight to survive during this time – apparently without allies. Israel will be under judgment one final time before God intervenes, but the rest of the world will not escape: all evil will be destroyed. America will not escape this coming judgment.

Knowing this, and considering the moral downward spiral in our nation, how should the Church be preparing and reacting to the current political situation ? Though it would take volumes to properly answer that question, allow me to show you from scripture an example of what God expects us to be doing. The prophet Ezekiel was exiled to Babylon during the first of God’s complete destructions of Israel and Jerusalem due to their disobedience and wanton lifestyle. God gave Ezekiel a vision of what was to happen as God deserted and judged His people. The prophet describes this destruction in his book, chapters 7-11. I encourage you to read them. In chapter 9, the Lord shows how he determines those who are to be slain and those who are to be spared. “and the Lord said to him (an angel), Go through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done in it. To the others(five other angels) He said in my hearing, Go after him through the city and kill; do not let your eyes spare, nor have any pity. Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary. So they began with the elders who were before the temple.” (Ezekiel 9: 4-6)

Considering the above scripture passage, look inwardly. Are you sighing and crying over the abominations that are done here in the US ? I can guarantee you that simply casting a vote for whom you consider the most righteous candidate and going home to bask in our lavish worldly lifestyles is not going after God’s heart. Sighing and crying implies action. When is the last time you spent several hours on your face before God repenting for your sins and the sins of our nation and interceding for your brothers and sisters in Christ. (I’m preaching to myself here). When is the last time you marched in a pro-life rally or prayed for the unborn outside a local abortion clinic ? You get the idea. Notice also in the above passage God’s judgment started at His temple with his elders. This may seem harsh everyone, but Gods coming judgment in America will begin with the Church. Be warned!

The time is coming that Israel will be ignored by the US. It could very well begin with a Biden-Harris presidency. Make no mistake- our future is certain. Judgement is coming to the US. I was hoping for four more years of reprieve, but it’s not my will, but God’s will that will be done.

If you’re wondering about what abominations the US is involved in consider this example:
