In case you’ve missed it, an event of great prophetic potential just happened. A farmer in Texas has succeeded in breeding ritually perfect red heifers. From a herd of at least 13, 5 have been selected by Jewish rabbis to be shipped to Israel for further processing. As they are yearlings, at least one of them must attain at least two years of age while remaining ritually pure. As of two days ago, they are now in Israel where they will be nurtured until they become sacrificially acceptable or rejected due to any blemishes that might appear. Orthodox Judaism has not been in possession of the biblically proscribed mixture to render one fit for temple service since the destruction of the second temple in 70 AD. This mixture requires the ashes of a kosher red heifer as part of the purification ritual. (Numbers 19: 2-17) All this, remember, is very important prophetically, as the antichrist stops the daily sacrifices on the temple mount halfway thru Daniel’s 70th week. For these sacrifices to begin, which could shortly commence, the availability if a kosher red heifer is necessary.

I find it very interesting that God may be using the US to assist orthodox Jews in this matter. We’re getting very close!

Ever since my early days as a Christian, I’ve known about the importance of a third temple before Jesus’ return. While rummaging through the Encyclopedia Britannica many years ago looking for historical figures who may have been Christians, I ran across an interesting article on the emperor Julian the Apostate. who hated Christians and wanted to revive paganism. I quote from Macropaedia, Volume X, p. 333: “His project to rebuild the Jewish Temple was designed rather to insult the Christians than to please the Jews, … The plan was dropped when it was reported (as it was on both an earlier and later occasion) that “balls of fire” had issued from the old foundations and scared away the workmen.” This was some time after 361 AD. I guess it just wasn’t the right time!
