Globalism-the Fuel for Mystery Babylon

Globalism, or the quest for centralized world population control of all aspects of life, is the number 1 political issue across the world in this year of 2024. Whether it’s the platform of the WEF or the UN’s agenda 2030 or the WHO’s attempts at absolute control or the trend toward open national borders or climate change, etc., it’s easy to see the world-wide effort toward a new world order of central governance. This issue of globalism is at the heart of elections taking place across the globe. While there are certainly other important issues, globalism is tops even if you don’t realize it. Here in America, where I am writing this, we are nearing an election where a confirmed globalist incumbent is running against an anti-globalist. For the time being, it seems the anti-globalists are gaining in strength as has been recently demonstrated in some EU countries. The European Union has been held up as an example of what global control might look like if only stubborn countries would be willing to give up their national sovereignty.

The globalist world leaders are taking this threat seriously and taking appropriate action, so they do not lose the gains they have made in the last two decades. They are getting involved by injecting huge sums of money into national elections supporting globalist candidates and exerting their power wherever possible against the anti-globalists. For example, even the Pope (a staunch globalist) is taking punitive action against Archbishop Vigano (an ardent outspoken anti-globalist).

We Christians are aware of this globalist scheme to unite nations, political leaders, thought leaders, wealthy businessmen, etc. as it is foretold in our Bibles. Revelation chapters 17-18 describe this global entity in great detail. We know her as Mystery Babylon who corrupts the nations with her wiles. Is there any way to stop her from exercising world- wide control? Perhaps the results of upcoming elections may trip her up for a time in reaching her ultimate goals, but she will ultimately “reign over the kings of the earth” (Revelation 17:18).

The greater Mystery Babylon grows, the greater our personal resolve to fight her globalist ambitions and “come out of her” (Revelation 18:4) should be.

“Whoever Reads, Let Him Understand”

These words of Jesus spoken during His Olivet discourse are of great significance for this last-days generation. He was referring to prophecies given by the prophet Daniel 500+ years earlier, telling us to read and watch for them in the future-our day. Importantly, He said that the one reading these prophecies in Daniel could “understand” them. Daniel himself had difficulty understanding what was being told to him even though Gods messenger was sent to make him understand. “Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.” (Daniel 10:14). Daniel later stated: “Although I heard, I did not understand.“(Daniel 12:8). God’s messenger then told Daniel; “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end….The wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.” (Daniel 12:9-10)

When Jesus told his disciples (and us) that we could understand Daniel’s prophecies, Daniels extensive use of the term ‘understand’ should jump out to us as I’m sure it did to His disciples, as they would have been familiar with the scroll of Daniel. Here’s the direct quote from Jesus; “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place, whoever reads, let him understand. (Matthew 24:15)

Therefore, based on Jesus’s words, from the time they were uttered in 30AD, it’s been possible to comprehend Daniel’s prophecies-if we are wise; that is, apply wisdom from the Holy Spirit. When Jesus said, “let the reader understand,” He was either making a proclamation, uttering a prayer to His Father, opening the minds of His followers to understand Daniel, or all of the above. I believe this was the occasion Daniel’s words were unsealed by Jesus and made understandable to the church. He subsequently poured out the Holy Spirit a few weeks later giving Christians the most important tool necessary for understanding the things of God.

We are living in prophetic times. Don’t make the mistake of setting prophetic scriptures aside as complicated or not understandable. In fact, these scriptures should be prominent in your studies, so they are recognizable when they are fulfilled. Quoting Daniel, “the wise will understand.”

Identifying the Ten Kings Allied with the Antichrist

The beast (antichrist) is described in Revelation 17 as having seven heads and ten horns. The ten horns are clearly described: “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.” (Revelation 17:12-13). These ten are undoubtedly the same ones mentioned in Daniel: “The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom.“(antichrist’s). (Daniel 7:24). The ten kings are also likely the toes of iron and clay on Nebuchadnezzar’s image that are destroyed at Jesus’ second coming: “You watched while a stone was cut without hands (Jesus), which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay and broke them in pieces.” (Daniel 2:34). The ten kings are crushed by Jesus at Armageddon when he returns. This is confirmed by Ezekiel in chapters 38 and 39. There we see the kings of the earth gathered together with the antichrist (Gog) completely destroyed by Jesus. That Ezekiel is speaking here of Armageddon I have addressed in a previous post; Ezekielā€™s GOG-Magog War is Armageddon – Jim’s Eschatological Info (eschatontrails.com)

Assuming the above is correct, we can look to Ezekiel to help identify the ten kings allied with the antichrist. “Behold I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal….Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya….Gomer and Togarmah from the far north.” (Ezekiel 38:3,5,6). Ezekiel denotes seven kingdoms originating from Asia Minor (descendants of Japeth) and northern Africa (descendants of Ham). The listed northern kingdoms (Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Togarmah) are all placed by the most trusted scholars in modern day Turkey. The north African nations mentioned (Ethiopia and Libya) are in Hebrew Cush and PutSudan and Libya. Persia stands out clearly as modern-day Iran. Therefore, with reasonable certainty, we can list at least four of the ten Kings to come: Turkey, Iran, Sudan, and Libya. Note that these are all Islamic countries encircling Israel. That gives us clues to speculate about who the other six may be. Allow me to propose some likely candidates: Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Algeria. They are all candidates as they are Islamic republics also encircling Israel. Of course, there are many other potential candidates.

As we approach these last days, we need to keep our eyes open for a ten-nation confederacy forming against Israel that likely includes Turkey, Iran, Libya, and Sudan. These ten nations will become a mighty tool in the hands of the antichrist.

The Nations Against Israel

The author of the attached article Jonathan Feldstein does a good job of bringing us up to date on the current abandonment of Israel by the international community. It’s prophetic that Israel will ultimately find herself alone on the world’s stage with Yahweh and the true Christian church her only allies. Truly, those are the only allies she needs.

God Will Restore the Entire Universe

When man fell into sin via Adam in the garden of Eden he was cursed to a limited life of toil for his very existence. Not only was mankind cursed, but the ground including plant and animal life as well. In fact, the apostle Paul tells us that the entire material and physical realm was cursed. “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subject to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope: because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.” (Romans 8:19-22). The “whole creation” by definition means everything God created in the first six days including the entire cosmos or universe. This “bondage of corruption” that the universe is now subject to is described by the scientific term “entropy“. For a detailed look at entropy see my article “Entropy in the Bible” here: Entropy in the Bible – Google Docs.

Because of the curse and the imposition of entropy, our universe appears as an inhospitable chaotic place. Think supernovas, colliding galaxies, deadly gamma ray outbursts, black holes that gobble up anything that comes near, asteroid impacts, and any number destructive forces in play thru ought the cosmos. But this begs the question “did god create it that way?” Maybe. When God created the sun, moon, and the stars, and stretched out the heavens on the fourth day, He saw that His new creation was “good”. After He was done with the six days of creation He collectively called everything just created “very good”. Is the current state of our universe what God described as very good? Again, maybe. I think most likely not. According to Paul once the sons of God are revealed the destructive entropic curse will cease in all creation including the universe in all its vastness. If that truly is the case, as I believe, the cosmos will revert to its pre-fall state. We can only speculate what that may be like but suffice it to say the night sky will never look the same. Adam was the only man that ever saw it. Yes, “the creation itself will be delivered”.

We Christians can look forward to an awesome and amazing future. If we knew all that God has in store for us, it would likely be incomprehensible to our finite minds. Thinking on these things should evoke excitement in you-it does for me!

Proof the Last Days are Upon Us: Israel

From the time of Abraham and his grandson Jacob (Israel) the focus of our bibles is the nation of Israel, its people, their covenants with our Creator, their land promise, their blessings and their curses, and, of course, their descendants. We Christians are adopted and grafted into their blessings due to the fact that our faith in Christ gives us an inheritance as He (Jesus) is the promised Seed. (Galatians 3:29).

The fact that Israel even exists today as a sovereign nation is an absolute miracle fulfilling many prophecies. Not only does she exist, but after nearly 2000 years of dispersion to the other nations of the world, since 1948 she is back in her traditional homeland and her capital city of Jerusalem that dates back 3000 years to King David, today speaking revived Hebrew, her ancient native language. Observant Jews have always known the land promise of God through the Abrahamic Covenant as well as many other prophecies that foretold of their regathering in the last days to their homeland in Zion where God chose to place His Name. Throughout the diaspora for the last 2000 years Jewish Passover seders ended with the phrase “next year in Jerusalem”. They never gave up hope and in our day that hope is realized. The path that resulted in the modern Jewish nation is simply miracle after miracle after miracle. I won’t go into detail here, but there is little doubt that God is orchestrating events fulfilling His prophecies along His timeline. It’s not been an easy road for the Jews due to the fact that they are a “stubborn” people though chosen by God as a conduit to bring forth universal salvation. Throughout their history they have strayed from the directives of God resulting in strong discipline. Their many wars, captivities by other nations, pogroms, Hitler’s holocaust, rampant antisemitism, etc. are some examples of discipline from God. And it’s not over. The “time of Jacob’s trouble” or the “tribulation” is in our near future. This current Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran war resulting (unbelievably) in wide-spread antisemitism is leading into an end-time scenario where Israel will find herself alone without political allies in this world. She does have two allies however, real Christianity that understands Israel’s place in history and the most important one, God Himself. All of biblical history attests to the fact that when the Jews turned fully to God as their standard bearer, their success was assured. That is what their nation and their leaders need to do today, if they want complete victory in all their battles.

As Christians, we need to be praying continually for peace in Jerusalem and for knowledge of Jesus as their Messiah to spread in Jewish communities. We need not align ourselves with all their political and moral shortcomings, but we do need to support the existence of the Jewish state based on God’s covenants and make known our disgust of the rampant antisemitism pervading our societies. We know how this all ends as stated by Paul in this message to Christians; “For I desire, brethren, that you should not be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the gentiles has come in. And so, all Israel will be saved as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.’ ” (Romans 11:25-27).

The fact that today a sovereign nation called Israel abides in our midst is proof positive that we are living in the end-times. Keep following the drama surrounding Israel and you will stay abreast of what God is doing to prepare for the second coming of His Son.

Will the Asteroid “Apophis” be a Part of the Prophesied Cosmic Signs?

Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson speaks of the potential for earth impact by a gigantic asteroid dubbed Apophis. I find the timing of this possible collision very interesting as it coincides likely biblical timing. Watch and listen to his You Tube Short here: Will Earth’s šŸŒ Gravity Attract Apophis Asteroid ā˜„ļø and change its Orbit šŸ¤Æ w/ Neil deGrasse Tyson (youtube.com). His conclusion is that there is a real possibility for Apophis to strike the earth in 2036.

Both the second and third trumpet judgments detailed in Revelation Chapter 8 describe what seems to be huge asteroids crashing into earth. This asteroid Apophis would fit these cosmic events quite well. I’ve speculated about the timing of Jesus’s return to set up His kingdom as potentially occurring in 2036. You can read my article on discerning the time here: Discerning the Time of Jesusā€™ Second Coming – Google Docs. I also discussed this timing in my Book “Last Days Events-Sequence and Synchrony”: Last Days Events: Sequence and Synchrony: Weinert, J D: 9798858723684: Amazon.com: Books.

Coming from a secular atheist astrophysicist, this timing for a potentially catastrophic collision with a huge asteroid is interesting indeed. One more item to add to your watchlist as we approach the last days. Keep watching.

Jesus: “When the Son of Man Comes Will He Find Faith on the Earth?”

This title is a quote from Jesus Himself as recorded in Luke 18:8.

There are many types and parallels found in the New Testament based on the Old Testament. One such parallel is Moses’s ascension up Mt Sanai and Jesus’s ascension to Heaven. Moses went up the mountain to God and received the ten commandments. After 40 days, he came back down to God’s chosen. What he found was shocking. Thinking Moses had left them for good, they fell into riotous, amoral, idol worship. Even Moses’ brother Aaron was caught up in the revelry, providing a golden calf for them to worship. No, Moses did not find faith in the camp when he returned, even though he was only gone 40 days. He found just the opposite. Jesus, on the other hand, has gone up to God, where, since His ascension, He sits at the right hand of His Father, until the date set by the Father for His return to His people. He will have been gone two millennia. Then, Jesus’s rhetorical question will be answered. Will He find faith on the earth? A rhetorical question is one asked for effect, not requiring an answer. Jesus knew the answer. Jesus asked this in between teaching two parables. The first was concerning the speedy judgment He will deliver to the ungodly. The second was a parable about the self-righteous who think they are justified before God.

The bible does not paint a very good picture of what Jesus will find when He returns. Consider these scriptures: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.” (1 Timothy 4:1-2). “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come; for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” (2 Timothy 3:1-2). Jesus Himself said; “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of most will grow cold.” (Matthew 24:12)

The answer to Jesus’s rhetorical question is that Jesus will find faith on the earth, but confined to His Church, His bride, those without spot or wrinkle, or as Paul says, a chaste virgin prepared for Christ, thoroughly tested in great tribulation. Unfortunately, the vast majority of humankind, like those in the desert waiting for Moses will have succumbed to the wiles of the god of this world and become objects of God’s wrath. It’s our job as Christ-followers to introduce as many as possible to the God who saves us and His Son who died for us. We need to help grow the camp of the faithful on this earth so that Jesus will indeed find faith on the earth in abundance when He comes. The field is ripe for the harvest.

Is the Current Iran/Israel War Prophesied in the Bible?

The recent attack by Iran on Israel has sparked a renewed curiosity about how this might fit with prophecy as recorded in our bibles. Can Iran’s current aggression along with her proxies be found in scripture? Let’s take a quick look.

The modern nation of Iran was referred to as Persia in the bible. As such Persia is spoken of connected with end-time prophetic wars directly in two places. One is her participation in the alliance that comes against Israel in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. This war, however, takes place at the end of the tribulation and is describing the final battle called Armageddon in Revelation. For a discussion about the timing of this event read this previous post: Ezekielā€™s GOG-Magog War is Armageddon – Jim’s Eschatological Info (eschatontrails.com). So, that’s not what’s happening today. The other direct mention of Persia in end-times prophecy is in Daniel chapter 8 concerning a “ram-goat” war out of which eventually the antichrist emerges. The ram is identified as Medo-Persia, but the goat is revealed as Greece or in Hebrew Yavan. Yavan is western Turkey and the Aegean, so is definitely not Israel. So, that fact again rules out this prophecy.

A couple of other candidates often mentioned where Iran is implied but not directly mentioned are the Psalm 83 war, and the sixth trumpet war. In Psalm 83, Israels antagonists include some of Iran’s proxies, but not Iran itself. You can read about the Psalm 83 war here: Psalm 83 War – Jim’s Eschatological Info (eschatontrails.com). Again, not likely what’s currently happening now between Iran and Israel. The sixth trumpet war is a horrendous war that results in the death of one-third of mankind. It’s the one often referred to as WW3. Iran is seemingly involved here, as the war starts in the area of the Euphrates River of which Iran partially borders, though no individual countries are named. However, as it occurs at the sixth trumpet, this war will not likely happen until the middle of Daniels seventieth week or early in the second half. There is, however, a remote possibility that this current conflict could evolve into a much wider-even nuclear war that decimates 1/3 of the world’s population. Revelation is not necessarily chronological. So, while this sixth trumpet war seems to occur much later than now, it remains a remote possibility.

The most likely scenario is that this current conflict between Iran and Israel is part of what Jesus called “the beginning of birth pangs”, a period leading up to Daniel’s seventieth Week. Among these early contractions, He listed “wars and rumors of wars”. I believe that is where we are at currently with this Iran/Israel war. Certainly, more wars that involve Iran are coming soon, but this particular one is probably a non-specific war as related to prophecy other than being a part of Jesus’s descriptive of the beginning of birth pangs.

Keep watching, things are heating up, and our redemption is drawing near.
