What is “God’s Rest” and When Do We Enter It?

After His six days of creation, God “rested” on the seventh. This was the pattern God instructed His chosen to follow by working six days and resting on the sabbath or seventh day. These six days of work were necessary due to the curse man brought upon himself when he sinned by disobeying his Creator in the garden of Eden. “Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it…… In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread.” (Genesis 3:17,19). None the less, God commanded a sabbath day of rest from any labor each week.

The book of Hebrews adds clarity concerning this “rest“. Speaking of the disobedience of Israel while traveling through the desert toward the promised land Paul quotes God from Psalm 95, “So I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest. (Hebrews 4:3). Here, the promised land is what God referred to as His rest. But even though they eventually entered the promised land, they never entered His rest due to their disobedience. Then Paul adds this: “Since therefore it remains that some must enter it (God’s rest) and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience.” (Hebrews 4:6) “For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest (sabbatical) for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.” (Hebrews 4:8-10).

Since this rest yet remains to be entered by God’s people what and when is it? Note, this rest is a sabbatical or seventh day event. And it’s a day when we will have ceased from our works just as God did after six days of creation. It is not spoken of as the time when we come to a belief in Christ or the sleep of death as a Christian. Paul points to a specific time when we will enter this rest and cease from our labors: “…. that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God for which you also suffer; since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels….” (2Thessalonians: 1,5-7). It’s clear from this scripture that we will enter God’s rest when Jesus returns to set up His kingdom. His kingdom, the 1000-year millennial reign of Christ is the rest spoken of for God’s people.

It follows that if this seventh day rest is 1000 years, then the first six days also must be comprised of 1000 years. This informs us of the nearness of the Lord’s return. 2000 years from creation to Abraham, 2000 years from Abraham to Christ, and the last 2000 years till His second coming. The first six days are nearly completed! For more info on the timing of Jesus’ return read the article “Discerning the Time of Jesus’ Second Coming.” Discerning the Time of Jesus’ Second Coming – Google Docs

Jesus said the fields are white unto the harvest and we need to work while we are still able. An amazing rest is coming when we will be like Adam and Eve in the pre-fall garden of Eden. I can’t wait!

The Lake of Fire

Unfortunately, for many, it’s a real place. God created this place of torment and destruction for judgment of the devil and his angels who followed him. (Matthew 25:41). Men who cast their lot with Satan and his minions will accompany them to this same horrible destination.

Jesus used as an example a place familiar with those He was ministering to that was observable to them. It was a place outside of Jerusalem’s walls where waste of all kinds was dumped and set afire. It was commonly known in Jesus’ day as Gehenna, or the valley of Hinnom. New Testament translators frequently use the word “hell” to depict this place. It was always burning with a constant issue of acrid smoke. An apt place to showcase what hell or the lake of fire would be like.

The first mention of any being tossed into this lake of fire is of the antichrist and his false prophet. “Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.” (Revelation 19:20). Next for a fire swim are those of the nations judged by Jesus immediately after His return that were supposedly of His flock but treated His church badly. He will separate them into sheep and goats, righteous and unrighteous. To the sheep He will say “Come you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you.” To the goats He will say “Depart from Me you cursed, into the lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels”. You can read all about this “Bema Seat” judgment in Matthew 25:31-46. After the 1000-year kingdom reign comes the Great White Throne Judgment. Here, all the dead from all of history that were not raised when Jesus came are raised to face judgment. Included will be those mortals who survived into the millennial reign and any born during the millennium. This general judgment will hang on one primary criteria. “Anyone who was not found written in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15). Anyone not found in the Book of Life is termed “Death and Hades” and the lake of fire is called the second death. “Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” (Revelation 20:14). The lake of fire is not an issue for those of us found in Christ and resurrected or changed at His coming. “Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death (lake of fire) has no power.” (Revelation 20:6). Of course, Satan and most likely his angels have their turn. “The devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Revelation 20:10)

Sounds to me like a long long time of torment for these three even though forever and ever are aions and aions (Greek) or ages and ages that do have a finite end. Bible scholars argue over whether it’s the fire that’s eternal or the torment of the wicked in the fire that’s eternal. Either way, whether the lake of fire is short term torment ending in destruction, or eternal torment for the wicked, God’s justice will be carried out. It’s a fiery lake in the spirit realm that is destructive to both body and spirit. Certainly not a place where we want to end up.

Yes, the lake of fire is a real place. Tragically, much of humanity will end up there. It’s not a topic often preached on from our Christian pulpits-but it should be. Jesus preached on it quite often. Praise God that He sent Jesus to show us the easy way to escape this judgment!

Nephilim

If you’ve been visiting bible prophecy sites lately it’s likely you’ve been bombarded with all kinds of speculative articles and videos about the Nephilim referred to in Genesis. The most common theme is that they are hybrid offspring of angels and pre-flood humans. These authors speculate that not only were they pre-flood and one of the main reasons God destroyed all of humanity, (except for Noah and his family), but also predict that they are coming back just prior to Jesus’ return to cause all sorts of havoc on the earth. Unfortunately, this type of speculation is unwarranted and unbiblical. It necessarily provides those with an interest in biblical eschatology a focus away from real end time events to the spectacular and fantastical. Jesus gave us much to watch for as we approach His coming, and we are commanded to be alert for these events. We don’t need to be sidelined, watching for weird and wild extraterrestrials coming as angel-human monstrosities. Instead, we need to be focused on the prophesied signs clearly portrayed for us in the bible such as the beginnings of birth pangs or the appearance of the two witnesses of Revelation chapter 11. I’ve devoted many posts on this site to elaboration on topics such as these. They are still here for your perusal.

Because of this, what I call nonsense, I’m going to repost here the blog I entitled “Fornicating Angels”. It includes a link to what I consider the definitive article accurately detailing the subject of Nephilim in Genesis 6. It will address all the questions you may have about them.

Fornicating Angels

I feel it necessary to address the confusion in Christian circles about the account of the “Nephilim” or “giants” of Genesis chapter six, supposedly the result of the “sons of God (angels)” procreating with “daughters of men” resulting in human – angel hybrids. These evil hybrids then became the primary reason God had to destroy the world with Noah’s flood. In the reasoning of some, support for this view is found in Jude 6, 2Peter 2:4-5, and the spurious “Book of Enoch”. This book of Enoch was not written by Enoch, the seventh from Adam mentioned by Peter, but by unidentified Jewish mystics two centuries before Christ. It was held in high regard by the Essene sect known for the preservation of the dead sea scrolls. The real Enoch of Genesis never wrote anything, the Hebrew language not even in existence till Moses. The fact that this book of Enoch quotes some of what was most likely handed down by oral tradition from the actual Enoch does not give any credence to the book. All sorts of weird ideas come from this book, such as aliens from space, a flat earth, giants thousands of feet tall, etc.

The word Nephilim simply means in Hebrew tyrants or evil rulers of renown. The major mistake exegetes make when studying Genesis 6 is to identify “sons of God” as angels. The sons of God here can be more accurately defined as describing the line of Seth as opposed to the evil line of Cain. From the righteous line of Seth came Noah on down through Jesus. The apostle John states this clearly speaking of the current heirs of Christ ; “In this the children (sons) of God and the children of the devil are manifest……. not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. ” (1John 3: 10-12). Make no mistake, the earths inhabitants were destroyed in the flood due solely to the actions of men, not angels. (Genesis 6:5-8) Besides, angels do not procreate and reproduce. (Mark 12:25) Do not be drawn in to this fornicating angels theory which proponents indicate will have an effect on end time events. The apostle Paul had this to say; “Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility, and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.” (Colossians 2:18) Worship of angels is what the Essenes used the book of Enoch for.

I cannot do justice to a full discussion of this issue here in a blog, but I will link to a very comprehensive and thorough treatment of this topic. It is long but contains all the detail to answer any questions you may have. If you encounter others with questions about angels fornicating with humans, you should refer them to this article. I’ll post a permanent link below so you can find a future reference. The Sons of God & Daughters of Men (4windsfellowships.net)

Reading and Studying the Bible is Not an Option for Christians-It’s an Absolute Must

Any Christian who is not familiar with Holy Scripture is a blank slate open to any deception or false teaching that might come along. God does not want us to remain ignorant but has given us through His Holy Spirit (Who is totally tuned to the mind of the Father) a book detailing everything that is important to us from the beginning of creation to the eternal state when Jesus presents the kingdom to His Father so that He may be “all in all.” (1 Corinthians 15:28). The Bible is that book. He did not simply give us this book just for clergy to read and study or that we as individuals could read and come to a private interpretation, but He sent the very author of the book to indwell each one of us to “lead us into all truth” and “tell us of things to come.” (John 16:13). The apostle Paul tells Timothy: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2Timothy 3:16). Paul also told Timothy: “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” (2Timothy 2:15).

In this modern age as we approach the last days leading to Jesus’s second coming, we have no excuse to remain biblically illiterate. The teaching ministries and research tools that we have at our disposal boggle the mind. Just imagine for a moment that you spend at least as much time in God’s Word as you do at news sites, sporting events, entertainment sites, and, of course, social media, combined. In just a short time you would become a giant in the faith. You would be growing ever closer to living like our example- Jesus. You would be growing ever more capable of knowing the Fathers’ will in every situation you find yourself in. You would be growing ever more capable of discerning the “still small” voice of the Holy Spirit within you. You would be ever more able to powerfully share your faith with your family, friends, and anyone who crosses your path. And, most importantly, you yourself would be totally transformed by the renewing of your mind. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and perfect and acceptable and perfect will of God.”(Romans 12:2).

It’s time that those who believe that we have a Savior in Jesus individually take the necessary steps to move on to maturity and Scriptural wisdom. All Christians. Every. Last. One. Do not rely exclusively on others to interpret scripture for you. You have the ultimate responsibility.

If you’re not sure about how to study the scriptures, please read the article I’ve permanently linked to below entitled “Hermeneutics”. It will describe some guidelines necessary for objective bible study methods. Also, be sure to read through the entire Bible at least once per year.

The Apostle Paul prayed for us: “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.” (Ephesians 1:17-19).

Great things and astounding revelations await you!

Is Nuclear War Inevitable? What Does the Bible Say?

Unless you’re completely oblivious to current headlines, I’m sure you’re aware of the constant undercurrent rumblings of potential nuclear war. And It’s not just coming from the Ukrainian war theater, but from the middle east and far east Asia as well. Rogue nation North Korea is already a nuclear power willing to use its capabilities and Iran states that it is already a nuclear power with a focus on eliminating Israels very existence. Of course, Israel is already a nuclear power as is Russia, India, Pakistan, and many western nations. The threat of nuclear war is not without concern as evidenced by the following article: Russia’s Nuclear Threat Produces Panicked Buying of Iodine in Europe (newsweek.com)

Most importantly, what does the Bible have to say about this? A year ago, I posted a blog that dealt with this very question. I think it’s critical that everyone understands this key prophecy that will soon impact our world. I’ve reproduced that post below.

The Coming War That Will Kill Three Billion People

That’s a shocking title. It should be shocking to you. It’s been called world war 3 or the sixth trumpet war. It’s very clear prophecy. There’s no stopping it. It’s coming. And, it’s coming soon. If my timing of end-time events is reasonable, then very soon. (See previous posts on “Discerning the Time”) The description of this horrific war is detailed in Revelation chapter nine.

“Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice….saying….Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates. So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.….the number of the army of horsemen was two hundred million….out of their mouths (horses) came fire, smoke, and brimstone….by these three plagues, a third of mankind was killed….For their power is in their mouth and in their tails….and with them they do harm.” (Revelation 9:13-19)

The Greek word for mankind here is anthropos, or human beings, all of humanity. It’s not talking about an isolated portion of humanity or certain ethnicity, but all who are descended from Adam. As I am writing this, the world’s population is approximately 8 billion. I would estimate that at the time this conflict breaks out it will be 9 billion. One third equals 3 billion. Three billion people are going to die in this war. That’s staggering. WW2, the greatest war the world has ever seen had 50 million people killed. This war will kill 60 times that many!

You may be wondering about these “horses”. Horses, in the bible, are necessary sophisticated instruments to carry out war. Here, in Revelation, they are described as having power in their tails and destruction in the form of fire, smoke, and brimstone issuing from their mouths (heads). I think it’s quite probable John was seeing something impossible for him to describe – missiles-perhaps nuclear missiles. They are powered in their tails and spew destruction from their heads (warheads). Unless some new technology emerges, it’s hard to imagine 3 billion killed if it were non-nuclear. In case you haven’t noticed, the origination of this coming conflict (the Euphrates River) is made up of countries heavily armed with conventional and nuclear weaponry. The eyes of the whole world are currently focused on this volatile area.

You may also be wondering if this war is Armageddon, the final battle before Jesus sets up His Kingdom. It’s not. Armageddon is a localized war fought primarily in Israel over Jerusalem between the antichrist and his gathered armies and Jesus Himself. (Revelation 19:11-21) The destructive elements of Armageddon are earthquakes, huge hailstones, and the sword from Jesus’ mouth. The destructive elements of this world war 3 are fire, smoke and brimstone. And, it doesn’t take place solely in Israel, but starts in the area of the Euphrates river.

Make no mistake. A devastating, probably nuclear, war is coming to this planet. There’s no getting around it. This prophecy has 100% chance of soon occurrence. All of the countries surrounding the Euphrates are currently in turmoil with wars and rumors of wars. Included in that area are Syria, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran, along with the Persian Gulf basin countries such as Saudi Arabia.

This war will probably be the lead-in to the rise of the dominance of the antichrist. He will have no problem imposing his economic system on a war-torn world. He will most certainly have a receptive populace. “But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands…. and they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.” (Revelation 9:20-21)

Saints, these are certainly not the most pleasant scriptures to talk about. But talk about them we must. Jesus did His best to warn us and prepare us for what’s coming in the years just prior to His return. Are you ready for World War Three ?

Jesus’s Parable of the Ten Virgins is All About the End-times Church

First, open your bible and read the parable in Matthew 25: 1-13. Note that all ten virgins both wise and foolish are “virgins” and all have lit lamps and go out to meet the bridegroom when the call is given. Remember that a parable is a depiction of a familiar situation as an analogy to make a specific point. Use of the term virgins here is to describe an unspoiled portion of humanity set aside for the kingdom of God. The apostle Paul speaking to the church at Corinth said this: “…. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I might present you as a chaste virgin to Christ” (2Corinthians 11:2). In Revelation 14:4 virgins are described as those who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. Make no mistake, in this parable virgins wise or foolish represent the church just prior to the coming of Christ’s kingdom. The context is Jesus’s parables about the time just before His second coming.

The obvious problem in the parable is that half of the virgins are foolish! The wise were ready for Jesus coming and the foolish were not even though they were all sleeping. This is the simple essence of the parable.

The extremely important lesson for us (the last-days church) is to not be foolish, but ready. How do we become ready? By determining what watch of the night our Lord is returning so that we can be alert and watching much like we would protect our household if we knew when thieves were coming. We need to read, study, and heed all the scriptures related to this time just prior to our Lord’s return. They are detailed and many. I’ve devoted many previous posts and articles these topics. Peruse this whole site and you’ll find much to prepare you.

In this parable, when the call came, the wise were ready (biblically sound), but the foolish were not (biblically illiterate). Unfortunately, for them, time had run out. A call is coming for the church in these final days. There is a time prophesied when a sure inescapable sign (IMO) will serve as a call to all Christians that the Lord is on His way to arrive at a specific time to gather His church and we need to be ready to meet Him. This is, of course when the “abomination of desolation” is set up on the temple mount in Jerusalem and the antichrist declares he is the one to be worshipped. From that time forward till Jesus comes will be “great tribulation ” for which the biblically illiterate will be ill-prepared. In the parable, the bridegroom came and the wise went into the wedding feast, but the door was shut for the foolish. The Bridegroom said: “Assuredly I say to you, I do not know you.” (Matthew 25:12). In other words, assuming my analogy of the parable is correct, 50% of churchgoers due to their foolishness and ignorance of God’s clear direction will be shut out of the kingdom. This fits well with Jesus’ teaching that the love of most will grow cold because of lawlessness during the great tribulation. (Matthew 24:12)

Jesus’ message to us contained in the parable is clear. Don’t be foolish! Eternal life in the kingdom is a treasure beyond measure. Be ready in every way for the coming of the Bridegroom. He has given us the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit to teach us all things and light our path to Him.

Kosher Red Heifers Now in Israel

In case you’ve missed it, an event of great prophetic potential just happened. A farmer in Texas has succeeded in breeding ritually perfect red heifers. From a herd of at least 13, 5 have been selected by Jewish rabbis to be shipped to Israel for further processing. As they are yearlings, at least one of them must attain at least two years of age while remaining ritually pure. As of two days ago, they are now in Israel where they will be nurtured until they become sacrificially acceptable or rejected due to any blemishes that might appear. Orthodox Judaism has not been in possession of the biblically proscribed mixture to render one fit for temple service since the destruction of the second temple in 70 AD. This mixture requires the ashes of a kosher red heifer as part of the purification ritual. (Numbers 19: 2-17) All this, remember, is very important prophetically, as the antichrist stops the daily sacrifices on the temple mount halfway thru Daniel’s 70th week. For these sacrifices to begin, which could shortly commence, the availability if a kosher red heifer is necessary.

Nelson Walters has produced a video discussing this recent event. You can watch it here: GREATEST SIGN YET? 5 Perfect Red Heifers SECRETLY Arrive to Prepare Third Temple – YouTube

I find it very interesting that God may be using the US to assist orthodox Jews in this matter. We’re getting very close!

The Date of Jesus’s Return is Fixed and Unchangeable

Concerning His return, Jesus told His disciples this just before His ascension: “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set in His own authority.” (Acts 1:7). It was not something they could “know” (see or perceive as yet). Speculation about the timing of His return was not proper for the disciples, as Jesus had other tasks for them to concentrate on. The word “set” in the above quoted scripture is the Greek tithemi , which means appointed or fixed in time. The word “authority” is Greek exousia which can also be translated as jurisdiction. In other words, the Father, using His supreme jurisdiction, has permanently fixed an appointed time for His Son to return and set up His kingdom here on earth. We also see from the book of Daniel that this time was set by God from long before Jesus earthly ministry. The great archangel Gabriel told the prophet Daniel this: “Look, I’m making known to you what shall happen in the latter time of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end shall be.” (Daniel 8:19). Note that after the latter time of indignation (great tribulation) that the “end”(of human government) will occur at a time already appointed. Later in chapter 11 when discussing the antics of the antichrist during the last days, Daniel is told this: “And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end: because it is still for the appointed time.” (Daniel 11:35). These and other scriptures testify clearly that our Father has a fixed and unchangeable date for Jesus’ arrival.

Jesus is returning to earth to set up His kingdom and it’s at a precise time fixed by His Father. It will happen. At the exact time. The probability is 100%. We need to be prepared as world events and bible chronology seem to indicate it will happen in the near future, likely within the lifetime of most reading this post. If you aren’t aware of the nearness of His coming, refer the article linked to in the previous post. We certainly are living in exciting yet perilous (if you’re not ready) times.

It’s time to start looking up for our redemption is at hand.

Jesus’s Second Coming: Can We Know When?

Most Christians when discussing Jesus’ return cite the verse stated by Jesus Himself that “no one knows the day or hour”. Therefore, they conclude, any speculation about the timing of this event is foolishness. But is this scriptural?

We’ve produced a video that addresses this question in detail. The conclusion is not only that we can know, but that we absolutely must determine what watch of the night He is coming like a thief, so we can be alert and watching, so that our house is not broken into. That video can be watched here:

Matthew 24:36 The Day and the Hour -What You Need to Know – YouTube

I’ve also written an article detailing the scriptural case for determining the timing of His arrival just after the great tribulation and just before the start of His millennial kingdom. It can be read here:

Discerning the Time of Jesus’ Second Coming – Google Docs

I’m emphasizing the above video and article so that Christians might focus on the blessed hope and realize the nearness of His appearing. It’s imperative that we’re watching and ready for the onset of end time events. Please, share this with your Christian friends.

Should Christians be “Preppers”- Considering This Late Hour?

So called preppers are people who materially strive to be self-sufficient during a natural disaster or societal breakdowns that lead to shortages of life’s physical necessities such as food, water, shelter, and all the other commodities we’ve become accustomed to in our daily lives. They typically store up large quantities of food, water, and all sorts of emergency supplies ranging from toilet paper to guns and ammo. Some even go off the “grid” completely, raising and preserving their own food. While it is a given that we all need to be prepared for short term emergencies such as power outages, extreme weather events, etc. just how much is practical and logical? Biblically literate Christians who comprehend the nearness of end-time prophecies have even more to consider, as they know of Jesus’ warning of great tribulation ahead and they are aware that they must “endure to the end”. So, what’s a Christian to do?

Some scriptural arguments for prepping include: Didn’t God tell Noah to prepare for a disastrous flood? Didn’t God tell Joseph to store up grain for seven years to prepare for coming famine? Of note in those cases is the fact that they were specifically God directed. What did Jesus say about this topic? “Therefore, I say to you do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on.” (Matthew 6:25). He went on to talk about how God supplies the birds and clothes the lilies and grass of the fields. He ended by saying: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6:33-34). Note that He didn’t say don’t prepare for tomorrow but that we shouldn’t worry about it. Worry here is the key word. If we’re prepping or not prepping, worry should never be a part of it! If Jesus is to be our example, He was one who was never concerned about where His next meal was coming from or where He was going to sleep. Each day, carrying out His father’s will was what mattered to Him. He taught us to pray: “Give us this day our daily bread“.

So, what should the Christian position be knowing Jesus’ example and also that there is coming an imminent collapse of civilization as we know it taken over by the antichrist for at least 3 and 1/2 years? Concerning this great tribulation, Jesus told us to prepare by learning to avoid deception, avoiding lawlessness, and walking in His love. In other words, Jesus told us to prepare by heeding all His prophetic teaching that reveals the time of His coming and what conditions will be like at that time. Most importantly, the Holy Spirit will give us guidance in how to prepare, through the Word, by direct revelation, or other sources such as the two witnesses of Revelation 11. (Scroll down to read the important article on the two witnesses). If personal physical preparation is necessary, we will be given guidance at that time. God knows how to take care of His own.

But what should we Christians do now? I think the answer is simple. Common sense tells us that we should be prepared for emergencies of any cause. This is simply being responsible for care of our families. And we may be able to help a friend or neighbor who was not prepared for such difficulty. However, prepping materially in the extreme is not biblically called for. The only exception would be if God directs you. If you’re 100% sure the Holy Spirit is telling you to prep for a specific outcome, then by all means obey. God may be preparing you for a specific ministry during troubling times. Prepping should never be based on worry or fear of what’s coming. God’s fully in charge of what’s ahead and you can be confident He’s got your back in anything connected to your well-being.

Stay Alert, all God’s promises are yes and amen for you.
